What (personal) data do we collect?
> Visitors to our site
In general, our website can be visited without your personal data being transmitted to us. However, like many other websites, this website does automatically collect certain non-identifiable information about website users. Read more about this in the Cookies section.
In addition, USD only collects personally identifiable information that is explicitly and voluntarily made available by visitors.

In that case, we may use the information you have left on the website to create personal profiles in order to tailor our responses to requests to you. You can always request us to stop sending you such information.
> Recording and processing of personal data
When you use any of USD’s services, your personal data will be processed. This is done in different ways and for different purposes. USD processes the personal data of data subjects working for companies with which it does business in order to:
(1) make offers and/or provide information on USD’s services and other activities;
(2) to be able to maintain a business relationship;
(3) and/or conclude and execute an order.
In this context, we process personal data such as: name, phone number.
USD may disclose personal data obtained from its business relationships to third parties as necessary to achieve the objectives of the business relationship or for the purpose of performing USD’s services on behalf of the business relationship. This data may be passed on to other USD entities, business partners, and subcontractors (e.g. data processors and distributors of our products) providing services on its behalf, and in all other cases in which USD may be obliged to do so, for example by a court order or court judgment. Personal data may be transferred outside the Netherlands. USD has taken the necessary measures to ensure that all transmitted personal data is adequately protected.
The retention periods used by USD depend on the applicable legal retention periods. In any case, the data will be kept for no later than 2 years after the termination of the customer relationship and possibly longer to the extent required by applicable laws and regulations for USD.
Cookies
In order to ensure that our website can be properly operated and to facilitate improved navigation, USD may use cookies (which are small text files stored in the user’s browser) to collect aggregate data.
We may use these tools to track information on our systems and identify certain categories of users by items such as IP address, domain, browser type and pages visited. This information is communicated to our webmasters who use it to analyse the number of visitors to the different parts of the website and to ensure that our website functions as a useful and effective source of information. This data does not allow us to identify you. Your IP address will only be traceable to the name of your access provider or company network.
> Enabling, disabling and deleting cookies
You can disable cookies via the browser. Due to the diversity in browsers, please refer to your browser’s information page or your phone or tablet’s user manual to set your cookie preferences.
Incidentally, you always have the option to delete cookies already placed from the hard disk of your computer, tablet or phone. Please note: if you reject and/or delete cookies, you may not be able to use all the features of a website. If you use multiple computers/devices and/or browsers, you should repeat the above action(s) as often as necessary.
> Google Analytics
USD uses Google Analytics to gain insight into, among other things, visitor flows, traffic sources and page views on our website. This means that Google acts as a processor in the processing of personal data by USD. USD has therefore entered into a processor agreement with Google. Information collected with Google Analytics is anonymised as much as possible. For example, USD does not get insight into which individual visitors make which visits to our website. Google will never process your full IP address and will always mask the last octet of your IP address.
Security
USD makes every effort to optimally secure your personal data against unlawful use. We do this using physical, administrative, organisational and technical measures. For example, only authorised employees have access to personal data. If and to the extent that data is provided to data processors who provide services or execute orders on behalf of USD, USD has agreed with them that they will also optimally secure personal data. We guarantee that the data will not be used for purposes other than those for which you have shared it with USD
Your rights
You have the right to access, modify or delete personal data recorded about you. To this end, you may contact USD at the contact address below. USD will in principle respond to a request for inspection or correction request within four weeks. In case of a request for deletion, USD will delete the personal data in question as soon as possible, unless and to the extent that the law requires to keep the personal data in question or there are (other) pressing reasons that oppose deletion. USD will send you a confirmation message after execution of a deletion request. If USD has not (partially) deleted the relevant personal data, USD will send you a message explaining why the request could not (fully) be complied with. If you believe that USD acts in violation of laws and regulations with respect to your personal data, you have the right to file a complaint with the Personal Data Authority.
